Creative Loafing editor wants Besha Rodell to continue reviewing ...

Creative Loafing editor Eric Celeste writes to tell me that he has reached out to Besha Rodell ? the award-winning dining editor and restaurant critic who was laid off yesterday along with three other staffers as part of a company-wide restructuring. He has asked her to continue writing the starred reviews on a freelance basis:

?Understandably, she wants at least a week to consider that. We won?t be making any decisions moving forward until she decides.

Until then, we will still be writing about food and drink as we have with our stable of contributors (including Cliff Bostock, Brad Kaplan, Laura Horton, Stephanie Dazey, Austin L. Ray, etc.) and staffer Wyatt Williams. We will not be doing starred dining reviews until Besha lets us know.?

Bostock, a longtime contributor, recently had his ?Grazing???column reduced from weekly to monthly publication.

Stay tuned?
